PROCESSIONS AND HAPPENINGS
My background is printmaking. I have made many prints since I’ve started in 1991. I’ve always loved the mark of woodcuts and relief prints. At some point I started asking myself “what else can I do with this medium”. Around 1994 I started collaging “bad prints” into larger pieces, then adding prints like skin to sculptures and masks. So I took this traditional medium from a 2D print on a wall, to filling a mural wall, to print covered sculptures and finally to what you see now with the processions and where prints are no longer just hanging on a wall, but running down the street.
